Lions beat Ice Dogs 2-0 in Best of 3 Game Mini Series

The Clare Mutual Lions defeated the Barrington Ice Dogs on Friday Jan. 30 at home at Universite Sainte-Anne arena in Church Point by a score of 5-4. It was a roller coaster ride from the 1st period right until the very end. 

Barrington took a late 3rd period lead of 4-3 before Josh Foote went alone on a breakaway short handed to tie the game up at 4. With 13.4 seconds in regulation, Brandon Sullivan scored the game winner as the Lions take a 1-0 series lead. Frederic Jacob contributed with 2 goals and 3 assists, and Clare had a goal as well from Matt Belliveau. Logan Cottreau made 47 of 51 saves in nets for the Lions. 

Game 2 saw Clare take the series 2-0 with a 6-3 win on Sunday February 1st afternoon in Barrington. Scoring for Clare were Brandon Sullivan & David Landry with 2 goals each and singles from Matt Belliveau and Bennet Munroe. Logan Cottreau made 32 of 35 savs in net for the win for the Lions.

NSJRCHL Semi Final is now set: 
The #4Lions are now set to play the #1 Truro Rhinos starting on Friday February 6th with Game 1 at 8 PM and Game 2 on Saturday February 7th at 7:30 at Colchester Legion Stadium in Truro. This will be the NSJRCHL Semi FInal - Best of 7 Game Series. The other Semi Final will see #2 Spryfield Attack vs #3 Avon River Rats.
