NSJRCHL Semi Final - Truro Rhinos win series 4-1

The Clare Mutual Lions came back from Truro with a split in the opening 2 games of the NSJRCHL Semi Final - Best of 7 Game series. On Friday night, Clare came down from a 1-0 deficit in the 3rd period to win 3-1. Scoring for Clare were Marc Surette, Frederic Jacob & Joel Arsenault. Logan Cottreau made 22 of 23 saves in nets for the win.

On Saturday night, the Lions fell 5-3 to Truro. The Rhinos took a 4-1 lead into the 3rd period, and saw the Lions climb back to make it 4-3. With less than a minute to go in regulation, Clare pulled their goaltender for the extra skater, but Truro burried an empty net goal to take it 5-3. Scoring for Clare were David Landry, Brandon Trask & Brandon Sullivan. Logan Cottreau took the loss in nets making 26 of 30 saves. 

Game 3: Truro wins in Overtime by a score of 4-3 on Friday February 13th in Church Point. Scoring for Clare were David Landry with 2 goals and Brandon Trask. Logan Cottreau took the loss in nets for Clare. 

Game 4: Truro wins 4-2 on Saturday February 14th in Church Point. Josh Foote and Brandon Sullivan were the goal scorers for Clare and Logan Cottreau was in nets for the Lions. 

Game 5: Truro wins at home on Friday February 20th by a score of 7-1 and takes the series 4 games to 1. Brandon Sullivan scored the lone Clare goal with Logan Cottreau took the loss in nets for the Lions.

The Truro Rhinos now move on to the NSJRCHL Championship vs the Spryfield Attack in a Best of 7 Game Series. The winner will advance to the Maritime Northern Canada Jr C Hockey Championship from March 25th to 29th in Prince Edward Island and will be hosted by the Sherwood Falcons.
